I prepared a pork roll filled with pressed ham and smoked cheese. I used "Spices for Pork" from Delikat. Paprika, rosemary, garlic and marjoram are just some of the ingredients in the recipe specially designed to season the pork that gave a special taste to my roll.

  • 1 piece of pork muscle (750 g)
  • salt
  • 1 sachet of pork spices from Delikat
  • 130 g pressed pork ham
  • 120 g grated smoked cheese
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 200 ml water

Preparation time: less than 120 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Pork roll stuffed with ham and smoked cheese:

Turn on the oven to heat.

Wash the pork, cut it so that it becomes a large and stretched piece and beat it with a hammer. Serve with a little salt and pork spices from Delikat. Place the pressed ham on it, then sprinkle the smoked cheese and roll. Insert toothpicks on the edges so that the roll does not come loose.

Put in a pan greased with oil and add water.

Cover the pan with aluminum foil and place in the oven until the meat is well penetrated. Towards the end, in the last 5-10 minutes, the aluminum foil is removed so that the pork roll can catch a beautiful crust.

Meat roll with vegetables

The inspiration came to me from the recent edition of Ioana magazine. "Mediterranean-style stuffed roll." because it looks great I said I try. I turned it into a diet and instead of spinach (I didn't have it at home) I used frozen vegetables from cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage. you can find the original recipe here and in the "Ioana" magazine.

- 2 pieces of whole chicken breast or 800 g of minced meat
- 400 g of frozen vegetables - what you want or what you have at home
- a bag of soybeans granules
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 100 g of tofu
- salt pepper
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons mustard (no sugar)
- half a teaspoon of oregano
- a tablespoon of paprika
- a tablespoon of olive oil
- a tablespoon of fresh rosemary

The meat is washed, the skin is removed and it is cut into cubes, it is put in the meat mincer together with the garlic, in the meantime we put the soy granules soaked in water with delicacy for about 15-20 minutes. put the minced meat in a deep bowl, add the soybeans soaked in water and then squeezed well, paprika, a tablespoon of mustard, eggs, oregano, salt and pepper.

mix everything well. we put the meat mixture aside.

in another pot put crushed tofu, thawed vegetables and finely chopped rosemary.

On a larger countertop. we spread the minced meat. in the middle placed the mixture of vegetables, tofu and rosemary, after which we roll,

I didn't manage to roll it because the meat came out softer, so. I covered the filling with my hand.

then I greased a heat-resistant tray with olive oil and placed the meat roll in the tray.

put the roll in the oven (heat the oven 20 minutes before) and leave it for about 30 minutes.

What do you choose: Transylvanian or Moldovan Christmas?

Many Romanians would say that the traditional foods of our country have no equal in the world. Sarmalute, cozonac, fresh sausages or caltabosi - we are left speechless only when we think about it. And, for those who did not get to taste traditional dishes from other areas of the country, Gustos.ro has prepared a short description of the Christmas meal in Transylvania and Moldova. In the end, it is up to you to decide which area makes the tastiest dishes.

Moldovan Christmas

In Moldova, pork is the basis of any Christmas meal. The appetizers are also rich, starting from the drum, chisca (a pork chop stuffed with rice and minced meat, boiled and then fried), smoked muscle, ham, bacon, cheese and much more, according to the habit and taste of the host.

Very popular at Christmas table is the soup with a little borscht from the smoked ribs. Also not missing are Moldovan sarmalutes and smoked meat chillings and a typical dish in this area are sausages cooked in cabbage mill. Everything is sprinkled with a good wine and the famous Moldovan cake is served for dessert.

Christmas in Transylvania

In Transylvania, there are snails, meatballs, meat rolls, boiled ham, beef salad, lebar, blood sausages, dried and smoked sausages, all accompanied by red onions. Transylvanians serve at Christmas table and soup with homemade noodles or dumplings, meatball soup or even wine soup, and very important are the smoked meats (prepared according to the typical Transylvanian recipe). The cold cuts are served sprinkled with paprika and lemon juice and the sarmales or steak with sour cabbage garnish are not missing either. Transylvanian sarmales are different from those in other parts of the country - they are as big as a cabbage leaf (unlike Moldovan ones, which are much smaller). For dessert, there is no shortage of cozonac, accompanied by the famous delicious cakes from Transylvania and everything is sprinkled with brandy and plenty of wine.

Moldovan chisca

Preparation time:
25 minutes (low complexity)

- 2-3 onions
- a cup of rice
- pork / beef (possibly chopped)
- 2 eggs
- salt pepper

Method of preparation:
Finely chop the onions and fry. Bring water and rice to a boil. After the rice has boiled, leave it to cool a bit. Then take the rice and mix it with the minced meat beforehand, adding salt and pepper plus the 2 raw eggs to bind the composition.
The calves are washed (the large intestine of the pig) then filled with the resulting composition, tied at the ends and boiled for 20 minutes. Leave to cool and then fry.

Transylvanian soup with pork

Preparation time:
(low complexity)

pork, carrots, onions, celery root, parsley and parsnip root, green tarragon, rice, sour cream, eggs, flour, vinegar, salt, green parsley

Method of preparation:
Boil the meat in salted water and froth. Add the carrots, onion, parsnip, parsley root and cook together. When the meat and vegetables have iron, add rice, tarragon and the composition prepared from yolks, flour and sour cream, together with vinegar and salt and continue cooking for about 10 minutes.

Bread Stuffed

This recipe with Stuffed bread it started with the classic egg bread prepared in the morning for breakfast. As we got bored of the egg bread I said that it would be something interesting if I tried to prepare this way a little differently.

I prepared the beaten egg in a bowl, to which I later said that it wouldn't hurt if I added a little ham. After the ham, I said that it wouldn't spoil a few cubes of red bell pepper for color, green parsley to give a little life and then a little Fluffy Cheese with Cream - Delaco wouldn't be bad, if I still had it at hand. And here's how I came to prepare this Stuffed Bread!
The combination can be any according to everyone's taste and imagination.
I prepared it according to what I found in the fridge for two people and a hot tea went great with us to warm up a bit. We recommend that you browse other recipes with delaco products in the section Retete Delaco , where you will find food, soups, desserts, cakes prepared with Delaco products.

Stuffed Bread Ingredient:

2 slices of bread
2 eggs
¼ red bell peppers
3-4 strands of green parsley
2 tablespoons Fluffy Cream Cheese
finely chopped smoked ham
salt, pepper to taste
butter the size of a small walnut

Bread Preparation:

We take two slices of bread and cut the core, taking care that the crust remains intact so that it does not break, so in the picture.
In a bowl put 2 eggs, finely chopped parsley, diced pepper, fluffy cheese and diced smoked ham. Mix, season with salt and pepper and set aside.

We put a pan on the fire, we place the bread crust in it, in the middle we put the melted butter and when it sizzles in the middle we put part of the filling and let it fry for 2-3 minutes after which we place the cut bread core on top, we press with a spatula and turn it carefully.

Let it fry for another 2 minutes on this side as well. Remove from the pan, sprinkle with cheese or mozarrella and green parsley.

We were glad to find out that what I had written down about the recipe for pressed ham, homemade prosciutto cotto was correct. With the help of Mauro and Maurizzio I made the tastiest pressed ham I have ever eaten! This is an old traditional recipe, as is done in the Marche, the area where I live.

Mauro told us that his grandfather and great-grandfather were famous in the area for the sausages they prepared. Mauro is 86 years old.
